Microvolt 3901 for iPad – Privacy Policy

Summary

Microvolt 3901 for iPad, the standalone app and its Audio Unit (AUv3) plug-in, does not collect, store on our servers, share or sell any personal information. It has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and it does not use your data to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

This policy is published by Pittsburgh Modular Synthesizers, the developer of Microvolt 3901.

Information stored on your device

Everything the app saves stays on your iPad, inside the app's own storage:

  • Presets and sequences you save, import or export

  • Your settings, such as MIDI channel, pitch bend range and clock source

  • The state of the panel when a host app saves its project (kept in that host's project file)

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app removes it, except for copies you exported or that a host app kept in its own projects. The app does not use the microphone, camera, location, contacts or photos.

Local network (Ableton Link)

The app connects to the internet for nothing. Its only network use is Ableton Link, which keeps tempo and start/stop in sync with other Link-enabled apps and devices on the same local network.

  • Link is off until you choose it as the clock source.

  • When it is on, the app exchanges tempo, beat position and play state with nearby Link peers. No personal information is included.

  • iPadOS asks your permission before the app uses the local network, and you can withdraw it at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network.

Apple's services

Purchases and downloads are handled by Apple through the App Store; we do not receive your payment details. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics, which we use only to fix problems. Apple's handling of that information is covered by Apple's privacy policy.

Children

The app collects no information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app changes what it does with information, we will update this policy and its date before that version is released.
